Sorry for the unexpected delay in posting here. We actually have returned from an amazing trip. A great team working tirelessly with the efforts and supplies multiplied in many ways.
Fund raising efforts are underway and we will keep busy for the mission in other ways. Join us for a brat fry in Plymouth at the Piggly Wiggly on December 5th all day long. Christmas concert by the Seibel family singers will bless your holiday season on December 19 either 1 or 6 pm in Fond du Lac at the PAC. Trip planned in January and then on to the delicious Chocolate Event on Valentines day February 14th at St John Lutheran school in Plymouth.
Our heart does not stop beating to help others while we are not on a trip.
It continues to hear and listen for the needs all around us.
Haiti is a main emphasis, but our neighbors here are equally important.
Striving to make the world a better place through His love!
Welcome to LESPWA International's blog. Please follow our page to learn about our work in Haiti

Getting Ready
It always seems like we are in the packing stage - preparing for the trips takes some time and effort to happen. Well before leaving for the mission itself, correspondence to the missionaries and translators begins.
What are the current needs? How can we help? Where can you use our group, talents, efforts?
Items needed begin to be collected. Packages and extra weights removed. Suitcases lined up. Numbered. Tagged. Weighed.
A big thank you to so many who come along side and donated just what is needed. We never take lightly the efforts of your hearts and wallets.
Our suitcases, which become closets once we leave, are filled to the specified weights with just the things needed for the people we go to.
There are so many stories to share of something packed as perhaps an extra gift was "just the thing needed."
Numerous times the things we thought we would run out of became more than enough.
How does this all happen? God. To Him be the glory.
And for you who are His hands and feet.
Sharing hope.
Merci!

Worship Day!
Here we are to worship - on our way to church:
Three kids have to bring a chair for church. If you don't have a chair, a tree will also work!
On the main road to our house as we walk to church:

January 31st
Making a Papillion butterfly
A new game called "Can you find Isaiah?"
Fluoride and healthy teeth for hundreds of people.
Fruit bats are big and scary.
Glad to have Kohler wherever we GO!
A day to meet neighbors.
We always have singing before clinic.
On the way for street kids waiting for help.
Taking pictures is fun for all.
Waiting all alone for clinic.
Nicely organized and multiplied like loaves and fishes.

Dreams
Time is going too fast. In our dreams we could stay much longer.
Never ending hand slap game. I don't dare try it.
Feeding program getting started.
We can make a difference.
Lives in this shelter and happy to pose for a moment.
We call the one on left Michael Jordan.

Playing and Building
Some get to play soccer and build relationships while we're doing clinics. This is right outside our door.
Good Days
Have been good days. Tomorrow clinics. So much to do. People so patient. We are stretched. So glad we could fix some computers. Metson is so happy.

Arrived!
We arrived. All is well after running to catch the plane. Need to practice more athletic moves. Very nice weather. Warm welcome from the community. Sorted items and meeting old and new friends. Baggage never looked at. Many things to be very thankful for. I cannot access the email now for some reason. But this will suffice. Thanks so much for prayers that put us here and surround us. That will be our guide.

planning/preparing/praying
There has been a whole lot of the above going on here for the next trip.
Please do pray along with us as we are close to the time of being on the island of Hispaniola with a team of eleven.
Much has gone into the efforts here and many are waiting eagerly for us there.
Pray for health and safety of the team. Pray for unity for the group.
Pray for the efforts we make to be pleasing to God and a blessing to the people.
There are so many things that we need to be sensitive to and to see His direction in. Please pray for all the unspoken requests as He prompts you.
Updates will be posted as often as possible to this site.
Lori for the team.
