Clinic days - Happy smiles and no crying

First day of travel to Port-au-Prince.  Will be spending tonight here.

People are so grateful - they claim that miracles happen anytime. We trust that continues to happen.

We have a big game of spoons lined up for the evening and everyone is pretty tired.

Very early as we can tomorrow.

Island Nights

You never are lonely on an island in the middle of the night when you have internet on your phone. What an awesome thing.

Leaving at six am for clinics in Port au Prince. Hard to choose what we need most for this time away from the home base. We trust Someone guided well all pieces. No electricity. No running water. Many great investments.  Pray for safety and endurance for all.

Sunday Evening

Heading to night time church. Great day with kids in village and feeding a a small group of elderly.

Thanks to St. Jo's transcription dept for extra items for heavy clinic days.  We are happy to serve with you for His glory.

Challise and all others. We are most grateful.  Lori and team Haiti  (aka Carol Ashley and Lisa)

Day 1 - June 28, 2014

Unbelievable how warm it is on our first day.  Got the supplies sorted and ready to do clinics.

Unfortunately we did not figure in this part of the world of stopping for a soccer match. We spend most of the day playing with children coloring and making crafts. Was fun.

Have a busy schedule ahead so excited that my phone is working here.  Yeah.

Everyone is resting after the long journey.  The new itinerary was really great.

Please continue to pray for the people of Haiti.  With another problem added to the list of many is a new mosquito born illness.  Once only found in Africa, this is now in the Caribbean.  It is very painful and can stay dormant in the system.  It is affecting so many people that our main focus will be in the items from our clinic set ups to help with this.  We have acquired supplies which will allow us to distribute much needed medications. Trust that all items arrive without any interference.  Pray that the team stays strong and healthy and resilient to this mosquito.   Thank you!
